Art exhibition themed “Breakthrough the sense”

ART EXHIBITION THEMED “BREAKTHROUGH THE SENSE”

DENPASAR, September 2019. Two artists collaborate to present watercolor painting exhibition themed “breakthrough the Sense” at Santrian Art Gallery, Griya Santrian Resort & Spa, Jl. Danau Tamblingan 47, Sanur.

Visually the works of Nur Ilham and Mahendra Mangku look different, even contradictory, as one is a realist and the other one is abstract. Although from the first impression they seem different, they are actually similar, in the following aspects. Appreciation works of art, they both believe that without harmony between ideas or thoughts, hands (skill) and taste, the process will not produce an optimal result.

These similarities indicate that there is a reason underlying the process of a painter’s work, perhaps it can be called the “visual reason”, which starts from justifying an unusual idea, going beyond the boundaries to explore the possibilities resulting from the melt of color absorbed slowly by paper, to “breakthrough the taste”.

Owner of Santrian Art Gallery Ida Bagus Gede Sidharta Putra, said, ”Towards the end of 2019, we try to bring an unusual exhibition from two painters who rely on watercolor media. Santrian Art Gallery is always proud to represent these artworks from Indonesian artists.”
