Klungkung Regency

The natural beauty of Klungkung should not be missed. Fertile green rice fields and rolling hills mark the landscape of Klungkung. The Unda river has become a popular spot for its thrilling white-water rafting rides. A drive through Klungkung brings stunning views at every turns, with spectacular natural panoramas, alternating with unspoiled traditional villages where the way of life has remained unchanged for centuries.

Many interesting old temples can be found in Klungkung, including the Pura Dasar Temple of the dynasty of Gelgel, and the beautiful, tranquil Taman Sari Temple.

The regency of Klungkung also includes the islands of Nusa Penida and Lembongan, wonderful places for exploring the topical ecologies. The island, once known as sites for practicing black magics, but now famous for their white sandy beaches, colorful coral reefs and desert island atmosphere. Day trippers can take an unforgetable cruise to the island, enjoying a day of exploration or water sports.
