This museum is called "Museum Lukisan Sidik Jari Ngurah Gede Pemecutan" ("Ngurah Gede Pemecutan Museum of Fingerprint Paintings") because most of the paintings stored and exhibit in the museum is created by using the touch of the fingertips techniques.
Located at Jl. Hayam Wuruk 175, Tanjungbungkak, kota Denpasar, "Museum Lukisan Sidik Jari Ngurah Gede Pemecutan" ("Ngurah Gede Pemecutan Museum of Fingerprint Paintings") exhibit and preserve paintings created by I Gusti Ngurah Gede Pemecutan and also can be considered as a "special" museum or the "Living Museum" because the museum is not only used as a dwelling house but also used as a working studio by I Gusti Ngurah Gede Pemecutan as the painter and the owner of the museum.
There are also painting course, presented by the graduated students from the Faculty of Art Udayana University, held every Sunday started at 10.00 - 12.00 local time and every Wednesday at 16.00 - 18.00 local time, while the dancing course, presented by the the graduated students of the Indonesian Art College ( Sekolah Tinggi Seni Indonesia / STSI ) Denpasar, held every Sunday at 15.00 - 17.00 local time and every Thursday at 15.00 - 17.00 local time. |
